ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the roles of cytokines in the pathogenesis of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS). Methods Double-antibody sandwich ELISA was used to determine serum interleukin (IL)-6, urine tumor necrosis factor (TNF), IL-6 and IL-8 levels in 56 patients with HFRS. Results Serum IL-6, urine TNF, IL-6 and IL-8 concentrations in HFRS patients were significantly higher than those in control group, respectively (P<0.001). The concentrations increased at fever stage, then continued to increase during hypotension stage and peaked at oliguria stage. The concentrations of serum IL-6, urine TNF, IL-6 and IL-8 increased in accord with the severity of the disease and differed greatly among different types of the disease. Serum IL-6 had remarkable relationships with serum specific antibodies. It was positively related to serum β2-microglobulin (β2-MG), blood ureanitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (Cr). Significant positive relationships were also found both between urine IL-6 and TNF, and between IL-6 and IL-8 (r=0.5768, P<0.05; r=0.3760, P<0.01). Conclusion TNF, IL-6 and IL-8 activated during the course of the disease. IL-6 is associated with the immunopathological lesions caused by the hyperfunction of humoral immune response. IL-6, IL-8 and TNF are involved in the renal immune impairment. Determining them might, in certain extent, be used in predicting the prognosis and outcome of patients with HFRS.

ABSTRACT

In this peper, 100 cases of Epidemic Hemorrhagic Fever in Renal failure were analysed and summarized in our hospital from 1983 to 1985. According to The clinical findings and the laboratory determinations of their Renal damages such as BUN, creatinin, electrolytes of serum, Morphologic observations of RBC in urine, Urinary FDP and lysozyme, Partial pathologic materials of renal puncture they were classified into four clinical types. Of them 75% non-oliquric renal failure type, 19% oliquric renal failure type, 3% chronic renal failure type and 3% twice renal frilure type, compared with the clinical findings of these four types there were singnificant difference renal functions and the effect of treatment It was suggested that the study on clinical classification of epidemic hemorrhagic fever in rcbal failure would be more beneficial to dirrect the prophylactic-theraputic research.

ABSTRACT

From 1988 — 1990, the plasma 6 — keto —PGF_1. and TXB_2 were detected with radioimmunoassay in 100 cases with various types of viral hepatitis. The results showed thatTXB_2 and 6—keto— PGF_1. increase and PGF~./TXB_2 ratio decreased. There was clear difference as compaied with the normal. The value and PGF_1./TXB_2 ratio were correlated with jaundice, ascits, spontaneous peritonitis, and hepatorenal syndrome.

ABSTRACT

RBC vital staning method was used to determine the shape of RBC in urine of patients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever (EHF) by LM. The results showed that hematuria specimens of 10 cases of EFH were glomeruler hematuria. The percentage of the morphological aberration in RBC was closely related with the severity of the disease, An increasing percentage of the morphological aberration, proteinuria BUN creatinin, was abnormal. Pathogenesis of the morphological aberration in REC in urine of the EHF patients is discussed in this paper. We suggest that the morphological aberration in RBC in urine of EHF patients can be taken as a sign of kidney lesions.
